Real Stories, Real Impact
One of the highlights of the campaign was sharing the experiences of people who are making a difference through work and volunteering. Neil’s remarkable 25-year employment journey with McDonald’s showcased the value of loyalty, dedication and inclusive employment practices. We also celebrated Alex’s volunteering role with Age UK, demonstrating how community organisations can create welcoming opportunities where people feel valued, respected and able to contribute.
We were equally proud to shine a spotlight on the employers, colleagues and organisations that have embraced inclusion and helped create environments where everyone can succeed. Their stories show what can happen when barriers are removed and people are supported to reach their full potential.

Inclusion Benefits Everyone
National Inclusion Week is about challenging stereotypes and encouraging people to see ability before disability. Too often, people with learning disabilities and autism face unnecessary barriers when seeking employment or volunteering opportunities, despite having valuable skills, talents and aspirations.
At One Fylde, we believe inclusion benefits everyone. By sharing these success stories, we hope to inspire more employers across the Fylde Coast to create accessible opportunities and recognise the strengths that a diverse workforce brings. Together, we can continue building communities and workplaces where everyone has the chance to belong, contribute and thrive.
Thank you to everyone who took part in the campaign, shared their experiences and helped spread the message.
