Support Angela Vodden
Angela Vodden, who works for herself at small construction law firm, AVAC Limited in Preston has volunteered to raise money for One Fylde throughout 2024 competing in various challenges. Read Angela’s story below.
“I started running in my mid-20’s, but then life took over and for many years focused upon life, PhD and my career, which entailed a lot of late -night meetings and project negotiations as well as travelling around so it just wasn’t possible. I didn’t pick my running shoes back up until a good 30 years later, just after lockdown, when I didn’t have very much to challenge me, other than training a lockdown border collie puppy. The main reason I got into running was to keep fit, but I found that running has many benefits; including being cheaper on a day to day basis than joining a gym.”
“I respect the work that One Fylde do, they are an awesome team who give so much personally. I have had the pleasure of meeting a couple of members of their team, and I listen to their radio whenever I am able to in work. The joy they give me and the inspiration that emits from their work is immeasurable.”
“I would like to raise as much as possible, I don’t want to set a benchmark – I’d like to see what we raise for the first event and then perhaps aspire to double it at each event.”
