BBC Visits the Recycling Team
There was plenty of excitement at One Fylde recently as Hayley Kay from the BBC paid a special visit to meet our incredible Recycling Team following their shortlisting for the BBC Make a Difference Awards.
The team welcomed Hayley for a behind-the-scenes tour, proudly showcasing the work they do every day. From explaining the impact of their work to demonstrating the recycling process in action, the team showed exactly why they have earned this well-deserved recognition.
The visit was filled with great conversations, shared stories and plenty of laughter, creating a memorable experience for everyone involved. The pride and enthusiasm across the team were clear to see, reflecting the dedication, teamwork and commitment that have helped make the project such a success.
Being shortlisted for a BBC Make a Difference Award is already a remarkable achievement and a testament to the hard work of the team. While bringing home the award would be an incredible honour, the recognition itself celebrates an extraordinary journey for a team that truly loves what they do and makes a positive difference every day.

Our Recycling Team may not have taken home ‘the Green Award’ this time, but we’re absolutely over the moon to have been recognised as Highly Commended. To be celebrated alongside so many incredible individuals and organisations making a real difference is truly humbling. The room was full of inspiring stories, and we feel so proud to stand among them. This recognition belongs to every member of our Recycling Team – your hard work, energy and love for what you do is what makes One Fylde so special. We might not have won, but in our eyes, this team shines brighter than ever.
